In addition, Law 99 of 1993 establishes the general framework for environmental management in Colombia, and the regulations that establish sanctions for non-compliance with environmental regulations.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the most common environmental sanctions in Colombia are fines, the temporary or permanent suspension of activities, the temporary or permanent closure of establishments, the confiscation of assets and the revocation of licenses and permits.
